Ash's Version: We were home from school for Christmas break. Ole Miss gives you a month off, so I had all the time in the world. One night, Me and the "munchkins" went to see the lights at Lake Lanier, and that was the night they brought up introducing Justin and I. I thought they were kidding since they were talking about how opposite we were. Come to find out they had a nice plan going on behind the scenes. So, a few nights later they invite Justin over, and he didn't talk to me much. After that night we ended up hanging out a few more times with the munchkins and on the 4th time hanging out I was in awe. I had the biggest crush. Specifically, I had this feeling when we were bowling one night.... I know, romantic. So, after hanging out in a group setting a few times I decide to ask him out to a movie and honestly the rest just fell into place how it was supposed to. He is my absolute best friend and I fall in love with him more and more every day. J's Version: Ashton's version of the "How We Met" story is very sweet, and she hit the high points..BUT she decided to leave out some of the best parts. For example, following the first night we spent time around each other, a little birdie told me how Ashton thought I was a little awkward, and she wasn't too excited about the idea of hanging out with me again. Luckily, Garrett and Griffin are persistent and convinced Ashton to join us at the bowling alley a few nights later where we proceeded to hit it off. Fast forward a few weeks, I'm back at UGA and Ashton is getting ready to head back to Oxford. As you can probably imagine, I'm spending every weekend back in Buford to maximize the amount of time we had together. On January 13th, Ashton hit me with the dreaded "What Are We?" question. I didn't know how to respond, so I just said, "I guess we're together". Well, there's no more guessing being done as we approach our wedding day, and I can't articulate how lucky I feel to be marrying my best friend.
