Kaleidoscope Bistro & Pub (K-Pub) is a neighborhood place nestled in the heart of Brookhaven filled with friends and neighbors hanging out with each other on any (and every) given night of the week. K-Pub was named based on the idea that every time you look into a kaleidoscope, you see something colorful and different. Ashli and her friends regularly sat at Kaleidoscope's bar watching the game of the day laughing with their favorite bartenders in town. One Saturday night late in 2015 she and a friend sat at the bar randomly (and fortuitously) next to a solo K-Pub newcomer. He introduced himself as Justin, joined in the group's conversation and a fun night was had by all. Our story doesn't begin there... Fast forward to June 2016, Ashli and her same friend happened to be sitting at the K-Pub bar when one of their bartender friends came up to her laughing, saying a guy wanted to buy her a drink. In her typical sarcastic tone, she scolded him for thinking that was so weird only to be told he wasn't laughing at the drink offer, but the description of her provided by the gentleman. Apparently, he had met her before and really appreciated how "kind" she was to him. The entire crowd burst into laughter. She looks up at who offered the drink to see that K-Pub newbie, Justin. After his dinner date concluded, he again joined her group and a fun night was had by all. This time they connected on social media. Yet again, our story doesn't begin there... In May 2018 Ashli updated her Facebook profile picture to one taken at the Hearts with Hope Gala. Justin had just added Facebook back to his phone in advance of a trip to NYC, happened to see the picture and made a comment. Ashli commented back. Our story officially started! Like a kaleidoscope, our lives built off the foundation of the same experiences and memories as they were on that first meeting, look very different today in the most wondrous of ways.
