We Decided on Forever

It all started in May 2015. A friend mentioned a guy she thought would be great for me. She gave him my number but little did I know that was the start of a new beginning. Justin text me and we instantly clicked. We stayed up all night texting back and forth asking questions to get to know each other. Of course everyone usually asks the normal questions like where are you from, what do you do for fun; however, I wanted to know who this guy really was. I had to ask! "As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?" What happened in that moment was unexpected. I had found the man of my dreams who shared the same goals I had. AN ICE CREAM TRUCK DRIVER! What are the odds?! In all seriousness, I still remember that night like it was yesterday. Fast forward to 2020. Our 5 year anniversary. We usually do something low key but he had something else up his sleeve. With a card in his hand, Justin sat me down and gave me specific instructions. I was to take the card but not open it until he got in his car. Very confused but curious, I agreed. Justin got in his car and I opened the card quickly. It was a scavenger hunt! This card had a riddle that led me to sweet cards around the house. When I got to the last card, it read "I spy you standing by me. Put one of your new dresses on and meet me where we met. Meet me at 3:00pm. Do not be late!" I knew exactly where he would be. When I arrived at the place we first met, he was waiting in the parking lot. I thought it was a sweet surprise and I was excited to have dinner with him. Then out of the corner of my eye, there was an ice cream truck. Of course, being aspiring ice cream truck drivers (once upon a time), we decide to start dinner off with some ice cream. We ordered and mine came with a card. My last clue. It stated "I spy red roses." At this point, Justin was on one knee and our families were walking towards us with red roses. That was the moment that started our new chapter.
