A glimpse of our "I do." Justin & I enjoyed a stress-free morning trail walk, patio brunch & devotional in God's nature. From pictures to ceremony, we are grateful for His faithfulness!
The Big City Girl and the God-Ordained App: After 20 years surviving NYC's corporate jungles supporting C-suite execs at the NYSE, NBC, and AI firms, Amy was primed for anything! God led her to plant roots in FL in 2021. Life brought trials, including a difficult divorce, but she intentionally healed, leaned on faith, and even earned her FL real estate license! Now happily settled, she channels that triumph into helping others find their home base as a statewide agent (IG:@amyacero.realtor). When not serving others or animals, Amy loves reading, the beach, hiking, and traveling. She also formulated AuREUM BEAUTY (aureumbeauty.com, IG:@aureumbeauty), a premium, all-natural hair and beard elixir! Both share warm, tender hearts and live intentionally. While Justin patiently waited on God’s perfect timing, a friend nudged Amy to join a dating app. Hesitant, (let's be real, dating apps are a wild ride!) she gave it exactly "one week." 7 days was enough for God to orchestrate a miracle. The Renaissance Man of Brooksville: Meanwhile, Justin, born and raised in Brooksville, was his HS valedictorian and studied graphic design at UCF. Calling him a "jack of all trades" is an understatement! He’s been a CAD/building designer, paralegal, engineer, production artist, Dir. of Fin. & Tech., and Dir. of digital projects.. Though FL is home, he's traveled all seven continents! When not dominating at ultimate frisbee, volleyball, and pickleball, he's playing piano, fishing, or diving into woodworking and solar projects, passions shared through his creative brand, JusuMade (jusumade.com, YouTube/IG:@JusuMade). The Spark (Literally): They crossed paths on the app in mid-June 2025. Proving chivalry isn't dead, Justin drove 1.5 hours for their July 4th first date. They met by the Winter Park fountain, enjoyed a beautiful walk, and visited AJ Chocolate House. They only parted ways because of summer rain, but not before a literal lightning bolt struck five feet away! Coup de foudre! (Love at first sight!) For them, it was a powerful symbol of transformative connection. They knew God was changing their lives for good. The 8-Hour Marathon: 2 days later, Amy offered to help Justin with his house. The gentleman lovingly declined manual labor for something better: an 8-hour marathon of conversation. Skipping small talk, they dove into religion, faith, struggles, politics, family, and aspirations. Nothing was left unsaid as God reinforced an unbreakable bond. Adventures, Animals, and A Promise: This led to an intentional fun dating season: Anna Maria beach days, sunrises & stargazing, and binge-watching The Chosen. Their love grew undeniably, leading to their engagement, moving Amy, Cooper (the dog) and the cats (Bootz, Ziggy, & Keke), & diving into premarital counseling, all while honoring God by saving themselves for their wedding day! The Best Day Ever: Their wedding morning was perfectly peaceful, trail walk w/Cooper, sweet patio lunch w/their devotional. After "I do," they celebrated with Sweet Street Aroma’s empanadas and cake. The newlyweds then embarked on a mini honeymoon of Marco Island sunshine, Treasure Island memories, and hunting for Venice Beach shark teeth! They're already dreaming of their ultimate bucket list honeymoon: experiencing Norway's Northern Lights from a glass igloo in Fall 2027. A Modern Day Priscilla and Aquila: Looking to the future, They share 1 united prayer: to be a modern day Priscilla & Aquila. Like the dynamic biblical duo, they want their marriage to be a ministry, gathering & serving the community, and stepping forward as an unstoppable team to build a lasting legacy for God’s glory.
Every element of this bouquet was intentionally chosen to reflect the beauty of God's design, the reality of His grace, and the unique story He is writing for us as a couple. Medium Olive Branches: A biblical symbol of peace, fruitfulness, and our joyful grafting into God's family. Eucalyptus & Pampas Grass: Symbolizing the breath of the Holy Spirit, enduring faith, and a foundation that stands tall and resilient through all seasons of life. Three Peonies & Three Thistles: The peonies represent God’s abundant blessings, romance, and the beauty of marriage. The thistles remind us that even through life’s prickly trials and the hardships of a fallen world, His grace is always sufficient. Grouped in threes, they are a visual reminder of the Holy Trinity and the promise of Ecclesiastes 4:12, “A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." The Three Paper Flowers: Representing the unique gifts and spiritual foundation God has given us: The Story: Crafted from pages that hold profound meaning for us. It includes godly wisdom sought from pages like: Praying for Your Fiancé & Guidelines for your Marriage from Before I Say I Do, and pages from The Excellent Wife. Woven alongside these is a stargazing page from The World at Night, the very first book Justin gave me. This honors our love for reading, our spiritual preparation for marriage, and cherished memories of one of our earliest dates spent stargazing until sunrise, a beautiful reminder that the heavens declare the glory of God, the Ultimate Author of our love story. The Melody: Folded from the sheet music of powerful songs that anchor our faith— Waymaker, The Revelation Song, and Dan Musselman's arrangement of In Christ Alone. These pages represent the beautiful piano music Justin plays, filling our home with a joyful noise and a spirit of worship. The Word: Featuring Proverbs 31 and the story of Priscilla and Aquila, honoring our shared calling to build a household of faith, noble character, and a unified, side-by-side partnership in Christ. As we take these first steps into marriage, this bouquet serves as an altar of remembrance, a physical reminder of the Lord's faithfulness in bringing us together. May our marriage always be a reflection of His enduring love. Every petal, leaf, and page is a testament to the beautiful story God is writing for us. Thank you for sharing in our joy today. "We love because He first loved us." 1 John 4:19
The HENDRIX Family crest It is an honor to unveil the official crest of the Hendrix family. Envisioned and created by us. Inspired by Priscilla and Aquila from the Bible. As we step into this beautiful new chapter and celebrate our union with loved ones on April 2 2026, we created this emblem not just as a piece of art, but as a visual legacy. It represents who we are, what we stand for, and the foundation upon which we are building our future together. The story told within this design: The Shield: A Foundation of Faith and Love At the very center lies the shield, divided into four pillars of our Hendrix household: * Top left, the letters A and J are elegantly intertwined beside a blooming rose. This is us, as two distinct individuals now blossoming into one unified family. * Top Right, the Chi-Rho, an ancient and bold symbol of Christ. Placed prominently at the top, it declares that faith is the guiding light and the ultimate authority over our household. * Bottom left, two united hearts are secured by a steadfast Anchor. This reminds us of the promise that true love weathers any storm, grounded in a hope that is firm and secure, through God. * Bottom right, the Tree of Life grows deep roots, with a cross subtly etched into its trunk against a rising sun. This signifies our family deeply rooted in faith, ready to greet the dawn of each new day with grace and continued growth. The Supporters: Grace and Courage Holding the shield high are two noble creatures, representing the spirit of our family: * Left, stands the Stag, a symbol of peace, spiritual devotion, and a gentle spirit. * Right stands the Lion, representing fierce loyalty, unwavering courage, and the protective strength of the Lion of Judah. Together, they show our family, that is as compassionate and devoted as we are brave and strong. The Crest: Vision and Protection Crowning the emblem is the Knight’s Helmet, signifying a home that is prayed over and guarded, safe, and protective of its peace. Above that, illuminated by a divine glow, the Eagle keeps watch a symbol of God’s power, protection, and sovereignty. It represents clear vision, freedom, and the Holy Spirit watching over our Hendrix name held proudly in the banner below. The Vow and The Beginning Grounding the entire crest is our family’s guiding philosophy: LOVE, UNITY, STRENGTH. These are not just words, but the daily commitment we make to one another. And finally, seated at the very foundation, is EST. 2026, the milestone year this legacy officially begins. May this crest stand as a timeless reminder of the vows taken, the faith kept, and the beautiful journey ahead for our Hendrix family!
When we set out to choose Justin’s wedding band, we wanted a ring that captured exactly who he is: his passions, his character, and the sacred covenant we are making before God. His ring is crafted from Hawaiian Koa wood and vibrant blue Abalone shell, shaped into a continuous dome. Each of these natural elements speaks to the things he loves and the faith we share. Justin has always had a deep appreciation for woodworking and crafting things with his own hands. Because of this, the foundation of his band is Koa wood. In Hawaiian history, Koa translates to "warrior." For our marriage, this beautiful wood honors his time spent woodworking while representing steadfast strength and resilience. It serves as a daily reminder of Justin’s calling to be a spiritual protector of our home, standing firm in his faith through all seasons of life. Inlaid within that strong wood is a striking piece of Abalone shell. Anyone who knows Justin knows his love for being out on the water, whether he’s casting a line fishing or diving for scallops. The abalone shell reveals a brilliant, iridescent blue with tiny patterns that look just like constellations in a night sky. Biblically, blue is the color of the heavens, truth, and faithfulness. This shell perfectly marries his love for the ocean with the profound depth of God’s creation, reminding us of the heavenly peace and gentle grace that we promise will guide our home. Last but not least, the ring is carved into a smooth dome. With no beginning and no end, this continuous circle represents an eternal covenant. It mirrors our lifelong commitment to one another, anchored by the unbroken promises of Christ. Justin’s ring is more than just a beautiful piece of jewelry; it is a wearable testament to his passions, his role as a husband, and a marriage built on strength, heavenly truth, and an enduring, faithful love.
