Justin and I met senior year of high school. We were both taking a veterinarian class at the academy since we both wanted to be vets. Unknown to us that neither one of us was going to be a vet but without that class who knows what would have happened. Justin was going to be out of school for a while due to him having ACL surgery. So how where we suppose to talk to each other? Oh yeah, technology. Justin was too nervous to ask for my number so I asked for his. He told me he didn't want my number...the end. Just kidding, well he did say he didn't want it then he came to his senses and grabbed my phone. Our first date was in his basement because he couldn't walk after his surgery for a little while. I felt bad for him since he couldn't go out on Halloween. So, I decided to come back the next day and we watched scary movies and ate popcorn. Which if you know me you would know that I HATE scary movies so the fact that I watched multiple scary movies with this man in one sitting said a lot about how much I liked him. When the day was almost over, we shared our first kiss, and by that, I mean I kissed him for 0.5 seconds and ran off because he couldn't chase after me. At that is how I started dating the groom.
The Hobby family and the Stanley family have been close since Justin and I started dating. So, no alarms were set off in my head when the moms decided we should all go to Disney for Halloween, both families. The dads should get an Oscar for their performance. Because they knew the whole time but acted like the wives had done lost their minds...and all their money. Once we were at Disney I still had no clue. Justin kept telling me he would ask my dad when we got back and my dad kept saying Justin would ask when the time was right. Little known to me the time was already right and asked. If you know me, you know I am dramatic so I was very upset when someone got engage right in front of me the day before Justin was set to propose. I didn't know that but Justin was very close to just proposing that day to shut me up. But luckily he held off. The next day I was as oblivious as ever. Everyone was nervous and stressed but I was fine. Our moms wanted a family picture in front of the tree of life. We took a couple of family pictures and then Justin's mom wanted us to take pictures just the two of us. As we were taking pictures I noticed that all of our family members had their phones out. I was thinking "why do y'all have your phones out taking pictures when she is taking them with a professional camera?" Then Justin started shaking and he says "you know I love you right"? Now, at this point I am thinking everyone has lost their minds. But then he gets down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I honestly don't remember saying yes. But I do remember trying to grab the ring out of the carriage (ring holder) and Justin swatting my hand away and saying "No, I'll do it". And that is how we became fiancés.
