We're getting married!

We owe this to some of our best friends, Chris & Lynn Massey! While visiting my former roommate and her future husband, I was introduced to a co-worker of Chris', Will. A year later, almost to the day, we met again at the Massey wedding as part of their wedding party. This was our beginning to forever.

Will and I had planned an afternoon in D.C. to see Cirque du Soleil including a late lunch and viewing of holiday lights after. Little did I know that as we went back and forth on which venue we would visit for the holiday lights, Will had been communicating with a photographer to meet us at the final destination. After the show, we headed to Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Northern Virginia. Upon arrival we purchased our tickets and made our way to the trail that would take us through the grounds. All the while, Will had made eye contact with our photographer who then secretly followed us until Will found a suitable spot to 'pop the question.' About a third of the way in we stopped to take in the view, Will standing slightly behind me, I eventually turned around to find Will down on one knee. Camera lights flashing from the trees, a small crowd gathering as they noticed what was happening and waited. The moment couldn't have been more perfect! With the crowd cheering we walked over to meet this secret photographer and spent the next hour or so taking our first photos as an engaged couple before going home to share the news with our closest family and friends.
