We always heard the saying "Don’t date someone you work with." Whoops. 2 years after Rachelle started working for BHP and after Justin came back from his time in Malaysia, we connected during a work happy hour at the Houstonian. It was all downhill from there. We were put on the same projects, worked way too close together, and even had to often travel together for work. Little did we know, food poisoning in Shreveport would solidify a relationship that would last a lifetime.

As our usual anniversary celebration, we were planning on spending a weekend away, and this time we chose a ranch in Brenham. Little did Rachelle know that our 5- year trip would change our lives forever. A bit out of the ordinary, the owners asked if we would partake in a photo shoot for their website by the lake shore. Of course, we obliged, but what happened next was a complete surprise. After a few posed pictures, a card was laid on a nearby stump. After opening the card and looking up, Rachelle found the love of her life down on one knee smiling from ear to ear. After a few carefully practiced lines, a mild blackout and a few tears- the magic word YES was said. We are so excited to start our lives together by celebrating with everyone that has been a part of it!
