Justin and Margo met while they were both studying at Purdue University. They first saw each other at a coffee shop near campus. Although they did not start dating right away, they remained friends. Then a year later the two of them became closer friends and then something more. After weeks of Margo waiting for Justin to ask her out, Justin asked her on Halloween of 2021. They have been inseparable ever since.

One night, Justin asked Margo if she wanted to go to dinner the next day, but they had to look nice for dinner. They went out to eat, but when they were going home, Justin drove past their turn and went to Margo's grandma's house instead. They walked down to the lake together where Justin (with a little help from Margo's mom and grandma) had flowers, champagne, and candles set up. Justin got down one knee and to ask the question. Of course, Margo said yes.
