Once Upon A Time

Love is blind

Our fairytale began as all love stories do. We both prayed to God that one day we would meet our soul mate and live happily ever after. Our paths crossed several times without either of us even knowing. We both worked at FedEx in the same building but on different sides. Lana is our mutual friend having worked with each of us at different times. She knew that both of us had just ended our relationships and thought we might hit it off. Or worst case, we would be friends. After stalking each other on Facebook and texting each other for two weeks, we decided to meet face to face at Dunkin' Donuts (my favorite coffee spot) for a mostly blind date. Justin-David remembers looking up and seeing my smile as he drove in. We ended up staying there almost all night and continued to text each other after that for several more hours.

When Two Kingdoms Unite

The proposal

Our fairytale continued day in and day out. On January 14, 2017 Justin-David decided the time was right and he could no longer wait to propose to me. He tried to hint that he wanted to make the day special however I never got any of the hints. He tried to get me to dress up, however I didn't understand why. He tried taking me to my favorite restaurant (The Bistro of Green) however he did not know you needed a reservation for dinner and the wait was too long for walk-ins. We ended up going to Pancho's and had a nice dinner. We still had some time to burn until I had to be bowling with my Lifeteen group, so Justin-David took me to my favorite park (Boettler Park) since he never saw it before. I took him around the playground and showed him as much as i could with the stars and moonlight. What happened next was a complete surprise to me as he stood me in the middle of a the entrance to the playground, knelt down on one knee, and asked me to marry him. Of course I said, "Yes!" And now we are getting married!
