Our Story

Justice and Allison were both getting sick of dating apps when they matched in the fall of 2022. Justice was intrigued by the girl who claimed to stress bake and color-code her closet. And upon seeing Justice’s profile picture and passion for writing, Allison thought, oooooh. They started talking, and as they did, they realized that they knew some of the same people. In fact, their paths had crossed at a college Halloween party back in 2013. To the both of them, that felt like something special. But first, Justice had to pass Allison’s vibe check. Allison was late to their first date at Milagros. Which is funny because Justice has been late to pretty much everything else since. They ate and spoke until the lights went out, and when Justice walked Allison to her car, he asked if he’d passed her vibe check. She said, I’ll have to think about it. Justice went to his mom’s house that night to tell her about the date and how he hoped he would hear back from Allison. That night, he got a text. Allison had given it some thought and decided he’d passed the vibe check. Their second date was in late October. Justice said he was looking for a date to his company’s Christmas party and asked if Allison would be available then. If you know Justice, you know that’s a lot of forethought and commitment from him. He must have been serious about this girl. Their first kiss was on their third date. Halloween night. Justice went to Allison’s for dinner and a movie. They watched Hocus Pocus 2 and ate Allison’s “Marry-Me-Chilli” which she swearssssss was just a coincidence. It took him four hours to make a move. They saw each other more. Met friends, met family. Went on trips to Monterey and Nashville and Idaho and Chicago. They went wine tasting and kayaking and river floating and golfing. Justice felt at home with Allison. Everything about her was easy. And Allison felt safe with Justice. She wasn’t overthinking anything, which, if you know Allison, that’s hard to believe. Justice made things fun and exciting. He also made things frustrating at times. Especially when he insisted that he had a five-year plan for marriage. And yet, two-and-a-half years into their relationship, Justice took Allison to Filoli gardens where he got down on one knee and pulled out a ring. Justice was so nervous he actually forgot to ask the big question. Thankfully Allison was there to remind him. You never know who it’ll be or how it’ll happen. It could be a dating app or someone you pass by at a Halloween party. We often find ourselves thinking back on how many times our paths might have crossed. In the end, what’s important is the feeling. It’s like breathing. Everything fits perfectly into place and you can’t imagine the world without them. We want to thank you all for your love and support along the way, and being a part of our story!
