Nick & I were not able to make it to Iceland to have our wedding as planned. Sadly, we tested positive for COVID the day before our flight. We ultimately made the hard decision to cancel the Iceland wedding. We hope that all of our guests enjoyed and loved Iceland's beauty as much as we did :) We appreciate all of the love & support that we have received. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. In light of the current circumstances and for everyone's health and safety, we have decided to alter the original plan for our wedding. We will be having a micro-wedding to celebrate our marriage at a vineyard in Eugene, OR. It will be a intimate private ceremony with close family & friends. We love you all and thank you for your support in such a tough time.
Emma & Nick met in 2015 at the University of Portland. Their first date was seeing the Zoo Lights at the Oregon Zoo. During the date Nick kept joking that he was surprised the lights were in the shape of animals instead of his hope that the animals would be dressed up in Christmas light suits. This set the basis for their relationship of adventure and banter….and Emma rolling her eyes at Nick’s ridiculousness. After moving from the rainy skies of Portland to sunny San Diego, they have furthered their bond by supporting each other through the start of their careers, adopting their first dog, and travelling as often as possible. Some of their favorite experiences have included whitewater rafting near the Just family cabin in Idaho, wine tasting in Tuscany, and exploring glaciers in Iceland. On the first day that they moved into their new home, Nick got down on one knee and popped the question. And of course, Emma said yes! We are so excited for you to join us as we say “I do” at our destination wedding in Iceland in May!
