Who would have thought that the dorky kid in sixth period freshman year, the one who was always getting in trouble for tipping his chair back, would wind up tipping my world upside down. The summer before our senior year of high school, we both wound up on a high school trip to Madrid, Barcelona, and Rome. This included long walks on the cobblestone roads, long talks over airport card games, and eventually the feeling of butterflies as we both realized this friendship was something special. Three months later he asked me to our senior year homecoming dance, and this is where our story "officially" began. Since then we have done a lot together. Such as working at the same pizza place, at the same time (I got him the job for the record). We graduated high school and delivered the class speech together. We went to the same college, at the same time (again, I accepted first for the record). Since then there were so many more adventures. And somewhere along the way, YOU joined this crazy adventure with us. So thank you for taking part in our story, and we can't wait to see what the future brings!

I remember being friends with Kortney freshman year, but I would have never thought we would end up where we are now. We grew our friendship throughout high school, as we began talking and hanging out more. Being a band kid, I am surprised that playing finger drums on my desk hasn't annoyed her yet. After rekindling our friendship our junior year of high school, we took a trip to Europe together and I had the opportunity to learn about her, understand her, and know how she made it through life to this point. We exchanged our unique stories with each other, the love magic happened, and now we are forever in love. Between our senior year and now, we've challenged each other and had many firsts together (we're still working on her food palate; but gone are the mayonnaise and bread "sandwiches!!"). We've laughed and cried. We've been a couple. If you are reading this, then throughout our journey, you have guided us along the way somehow and helped shape who we are today. I am so so happy that you have been there in some way and we can't wait for what life throws at us next!
