Brews Before I Dos - wear whatever you are comfortable with! This is an optional get together before the wedding day! Guests at the rehearsal dinner will already be there in semi-formal attire. It is a brewery, so casual attire is fine. Wedding Ceremony and Reception - Formal attire. Examples: suits for men, long dresses or sophisticated cocktail dresse for ladies.
We will have two 30 passenger buses (60 seats total) that will be picking up guests from The Double Tree Hotel in Uptown at 1:15 and transporting to the church for the ceremony. If you would like to use this tranportation, please make your way over the The Double Tree around 1pm. If you are staying at the AC Hotel, it is a 5 minute walk to the Double Tree. These buses will also be available after the ceremony to take guests back to Uptown from the church. Please note that priority for these bus seats are for our out of town guests. Uber and lyft are also available if needed.
Sugar Creek Brewery (Brews Before I Dos) has a lot that validates parking. There is also street parking available. Lyft and uber are also easy options. St Gabriel Catholic Church has a large parking lot with ample parking space. Foundation for the Carolinas (reception venue): the venue does not have its own parking on site. However, finding parking in Uptown Charlotte is easy, and we've put together a list of five convenient parking decks that are within walking distance. These are all easily accessible from I-77. Recommended Parking Decks: 1. Truist Center Parking Garage Address: 214 N Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28202 Directions from I-77: From I-77, take Exit 10B (Trade/Fifth Street). At the second light, turn right onto Fifth Street. Continue past North Tryon Street, and the garage entrance will be on your left. 2.Fifth Third Center Garage Address: 201 N Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28202 Directions from I-77: From I-77, take Exit 10B (Trade/Fifth Street). Continue on Fifth Street, then turn right onto North Tryon Street. The garage will be on your right. 3. Charlotte Arena Garage Address: 237 E 5th St, Charlotte, NC 28202 Directions from I-77: From I-77, take Exit 10B (Trade St). Go east on Trade Street, then turn left onto E 5th Street. The garage will be on your left. 4. 206 S. Church Street - AutoPark Garage Address: 206 S. Church St, Charlotte, NC 28202 Directions from I-77: From I-77, take Exit 10 (Trade St). Go east on Trade Street, then turn right onto S. Church Street. The garage will be on your left. 5. 237 S. Tryon Garage Address: 237 S. Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28202 Directions from I-77: From I-77, take Exit 9 (I-277 N/US-74 E). Take the South College Street exit, then turn left on East Stonewall Street. Turn right onto South Tryon Street. The garage will be on your left.
The hotels on our website and the reception venue are in Uptown, Charlotte. The Double Tree and AC Hotel are both within a 5-10 minute walk to our reception venue. Uptown (hotels and reception venue) is about a 20 minute drive to the church.
To keep our ceremony sacred, we kindly ask that you do not use your cell phone to take pictures or videos during our ceremony - we want to look at your beautiful faces - not your phone! We will have professional photography and videography that we would love to share with you.
