Our story feels like it belongs in a Disney movie. We met as teenagers—I was 18 and Emma was 15. Emma was the beautiful, respectful , and intelligent neighbor whom I used to watch from my window every time she walked by. One day, I said a prayer and told myself, 'This woman is going to be my wife.' In 2013, she left the country, and we lost contact for six years. But in 2019, we reconnected via social media, and I knew immediately that my prayer was being answered. We started dating that year and navigated a long-distance relationship for the next six years.
