The story of how Junelle and I started to hang out is short, sweet, and kind of funny, but some details are still up for debate. If you’re reading this, you already know she is a no-nonsense go-getter, as unabashed as she is outspoken, and someone who wears her heart on her sleeve. I, on the other hand, am a reserved overthink-before-doing kind of guy. She says I chased her and asked her out first, but what do the facts tell you? What we do agree on is that she fell asleep during our first date, but it had more to do with Aquaman and warm reclining seats than anything I did. And unlike the Aquaman movies, we only got better from there. It may be cliché but the opposites in our temperament fit so well together; she spurs me into spontaneity and action while I focus her energies. And that isn’t to say we have nothing in common, just where it counts the most for us. We are big softies with big hearts for friends and family, and we love quiet nights in with our animals. We dream about our next short trips, big trips, and especially our fun rave trips, where one unforgettable show ended at the Gorge with you saying “Yes” to the ring and a lifetime of movies you’ll fall asleep during.
