Flight
Italy has a variety of airports you can fly into depending on your travel plans. Naples (NAP) is the closest to Sorrento and directly accessible via train or ferry. Rome (FCO) is another popular airport option.
Train
The easiest way to get from Naples to Sorrento is by train. One option available is the Circumvesuviana Train. The time table for the train is located at the link. Circumvesuviana is the regular commuter train and runs twice per hour. This is the cheapest option for trains but also can get more crowded.

The other train option from Naples to Sorrento is the Campagnia Express. This train runs less frequently, but tends to be less crowded than the Circumvesuviana train (and has AC).
Travel Note
Another option for getting between the Naples airport and Sorrento is taking a bus or shuttle. This is the most convenient option and can be booked ahead of time.

Our wedding events will be held in central Sorrento. Booking accommodations within the Sorrento town center is best for avoiding transportation hassles. Based on common advice, we recommend booking by winter or early spring for the best availability. Many hotels offer flexible reservations or free cancellation. Airbnb and Vrbo also have many options to find the accommodations that best meet your needs.
