Mary was working at Mecklenburg EMS while Lee was working at Mint Hill Fire Department. Both of us working in public service in the same county, people think we met on a 911 call. However, it all started with a Facebook friend request. A couple messages later, and we’ve talked every day since!

During a weekend trip to ride ATVs with friends, Lee decided to propose. It was supposed to happen the night we got there, but we ended up getting lost in the woods for 3 hours. The next day after lunch, Lee made his move. Followed by Chris Lane’s “Big, Big Plans” coming on the radio (unplanned, perfect timing).
