Dale and Julissa found each other thanks to a well‑timed swipe on Tinder. With Dale living in Williston and Julissa two hours away in Palm Coast, their ranges somehow overlapped, giving them the chance to match. They connected over the Netflix series The Witcher and other fantasy shows. After about a month of chatting, they met for their first date on January 28, 2022. At Casa Maya, they shared an amazing paella for two and margaritas. That date marked the beginning of seeing each other every single weekend for a year, along with sneaking in weeknight visits just to spend more time together. Dale would wake up at 3 a.m. and commute to work in Williston more times than he’d like to admit. Just three weeks later, they made it official. Fast‑forward four years—plus a dog and a house—Dale proposed to Julissa in Colorado at their cabin on December 31, 2025.
