The Countdown to Forever

We met when we were 17 years old, we both worked at our local movie theater Cinemark. We both started as ushers and went up to concessions and box office together. Our feelings started after closing the concessions stands one late summer night when Julisa had asked him to walk her to her car because it was midnight and dark. On our first date, we went out to a pizza place as friends and proceeded to walk around and look at Christmas lights at the Houston Zoo. Julisa felt very awkward as she was dating someone else, and there were times when our hands would brush against each other. Nick first confessed how he felt, but Julisa was conflicted, with her dating someone else even though she really liked Nick. After Julisa became single, we began to date at the end of our senior year of high school. Through college there we got to experience everything together, late nights studying, going out with friends, instant ramen nights, and finding ways to save a buck on dates as college students. Julisa having Nick in college was what made moving away from home feel comfortable and safe.
