We met back in 2019 at a graduation party in California. To be honest, we vaguely remember our handshake—much less the few words exchanged. No instant spark, no love-at-first-sight moment. We were just two people with mutual friends. Our friendship truly began during the pandemic, when we would all join as a group to play videogames. Our conversations were always easy, full of jokes and laughter. And for years, that’s all it was. We stayed in touch, checked in whenever we'd remember to and heard each other’s name through conversations. Nothing more. Then came the summer of 2024. Something shifted. Our phone calls were no longer just ten minutes. Our messages were no longer “heyy long time. checking to see how you're doing..” Our conversations had unexpectedly turned into hours-long talks about life, fears, goals, and everything in between. We found ourselves sharing more, listening closer, and eventually realized there was something growing between us. By September, Julio had made the decision to come visit Georgia—see each other for the first time in years. Nerves. Uncertainty. Excitement. October 24, 2024 — “Will you be my girlfriend?" Two months later, Julio was offered a job 2,000 miles away, said goodbye to friends and family, and made the move from California to Georgia. We were now in the same time zone, building a life in the same place, with the same dream for the future. And now… from no spark to fireworks, from coast to coast, from friends to forever—our story has taken its time, and we wouldn’t change a thing. With Jehovah's help, we’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you, the people who’ve loved us through it all. Thank you for being part of our journey. Nos conocimos en 2019 en una fiesta de graduación en California. Para ser honestos, recordamos vagamente nuestro apretón de manos—mucho menos las pocas palabras que intercambiamos. No hubo chispa instantánea, ni un momento de amor a primera vista. Éramos solo dos personas con amigos en común. Inesperadamente, nuestras conversaciones se convirtieron en charlas de horas sobre la vida, nuestros miedos, nuestras metas y todo lo demás. Nos encontramos compartiendo cada vez más, escuchando más atentamente y, eventualmente, nos dimos cuenta de que algo estaba creciendo entre nosotros. Emoción. 24 de octubre de 2024 — “¿Quieres ser mi novia?” Dos meses después, a Julio le ofrecieron un trabajo a 2,000 millas de distancia, se despidió de amigos y familia, y se mudó de California a Georgia.
