Maid of Honor
Maid of Honor and day-one ride-or-die to the bride! We've been through it all since middle school - cheering together, camping at the fair, and showing cows like the absolute icons we were (and still are). She's the one I've done life with:from teenage chaos to adult chaos, we've been inseparable through it all. We talk every day, finish each others sentences, and if we weren't in long-term relationships with men (and also straight LOL), we'd probably be getting married ourselves. She's sarcastic, sweet, fiercely loyal, and she knows way too much about me, so keeping her close is really just self-preservation. There's truly no one who could stand beside me today and not immediately make fun of me after (except for Ally).
Best Man
The oldest brother of the groom, which means he's been bossing him around since day 1. These two have shared a lifelong bond fueled by their love of the Jets (for better or worse), the Mets (mostly worse), the Knicks (rollercoaster), and of course the babies - fur and human (always the best part). It's been a journey of heartbreak, yelling at TV's, and pretending THIS year will be different. He's the original bad influence, the voice of questionable wisdom, and the obvious choice for best man.
Bridesmaid
We've been stuck together since high school - cheering on the sidelines together, surviving college as roommates, and making memories (and probably some mild chaos) along the way. She's been my partner in crime and biggest hater (joking). In high school we'd spend nights named out in her moms living room, counting down the seconds past her brothers curfew while antagonizing her mom about what she'd do when he finally walked through the door. In college, we somehow convinced our moms to come over before parties - to help clean, stay for a pregame, and lose at beer pong despite definitely cheating. I am so lucky to have her by my side.
Groomsman
The groom's brother and his lifelong teammate - whether they like it or not. As Irish twins, they were born less than a year apart and spent their childhood doing what brothers do best: mastering the art of sibling rivalry and teamwork playing baseball (depending on the inning), obsessing over the Mets - aka, a lifetime of character building, Marvel fandom, and occasionally trying to knock each other out in the living room. Whether it was a game or full-blown wrestling match, they were always competitive - but always had each other's backs through wins, losses, and post-credit scenes. From little league to now, he's been there though it all, and there's no one better to stand by the groom's side (especially now that they've stopped fighting... mostly).
Flower Girl
Ring Bearer
Officiant
The bride's older brother - by nine years, which basically made him her first babysitter, body guard, and original source of sarcasm. He's always had a dry sense of humor, a sharp wit, and somehow manages to be both a little bit of an ass AND the person everyone, especially kids, love most. Growing up he was the one setting the example (intentionally or not) and was the one pushing her around the house a rolling computer chair at full speed...but don't worry, she was aways wearing a helmet. Safety first, chaos second. He's been her steady, hilarious, and fiercely protective brother from the start, and there's no one else better suited to officiate this day with equal parts roasting and heart.
