They first laid eyes on each other in 2017 during a friend's trip to Puerto Rico. Adriana met her youth pastor's friends and along with the group was Julio Esteban. During the week all of them spent time together as a group and through one conversation Adriana asked Julio the famous question, "Do you ever plan to move to the U.S?" Julio confidently said that he planned to live his life in Puerto Rico. Leaving the trip Adriana never thought that she would see him again. Then Maria happened...his life in Puerto Rico shifted and he ended up moving to the United States. A canvas painted by God, he would reconnect with her a year later in NJ. With time, a spark ignited between them, finding common ground in their love for missions, art, adventure, and of course matcha. Between visits to Dunkin Donuts and trips to NY, they would share their dozens of dreams for sharing God's hope with their generation. Conversations between them never seized, something was happening between them both but never was spoken. Until they both went on a mission trip to Venezuela their eyes opened. It was Aladdin lost in Jasmin's eyes, Romeo daydreaming of Juliette, AND SHE DIDN'T KNOW BUT, JULIO WAS PLANNING TO CONFESS his heart to her, right after the trip. Love was in the air, Julio's brother was getting married and the team was going to be there. Nothing could've been more encouraging than this. The next day was September 2, 2018, and Julio literally hit his head and couldn't hold his feelings anymore. He made sure she knew what he wanted, a future with her. After a long testament of reasons, it wasn't until the following year in their favorite city they made a decision on March 20, 2019. He made a book for her with the question, "will you like to join this journey with me and be my girlfriend?" A year and 6 months later, on September 2, 2020, Esteban prepared a place where he would ask his love if she would spend the rest of her life with him. This is a story still being written.
