Robert, always punctual, arrived early (or on time) to a Halloween party one faithful night when he first moved to Boston. He entered the house to see Juliette, dressed as Chili from TLC, with Jungle Juice spilling all over the floor. She looked at this stranger confused as to why someone was there already... "We're Paulina's friends" he said wearily, Juliette told them to come on in and get the beer pong table ready. After an evening filled with both fun and awkward interactions Robert left the party and also left his jacket. Was this done on purpose or mistake? The world may never know. But the pursuit of his forgotten jacket turned into a first date where we discovered we were both middle children and both had Dumbledores death ruined for us in tragic ways. We bonded over teaching high school History and laughed our way through our first date and it felt so easy. That ease continued in our relationship through traveling, learning with each other and eventually carried us to building a life and family together over the last 9 years.

We traveled to Las Vegas this summer for an end of summer vacation and atop the Eiffel Tower restaurant Robert popped the question and almost like he planned it, the Bellaggio water fountain went off!
