Great question! We will tell you about it sometime over drinks.
While we understand that the COVID-19 pandemic is ever-evolving, we designed the event to allow the greatest levels of safety and enjoyment. Our ceremony location will keep all windows and doors open (weather permitting) and our reception is fully outdoors. We have planned space that more than adequately allows for social distancing, and fully support anyone who wants to wear a mask for any or all of the festivities. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with specific questions or concerns regarding this topic.
Highland Falls (ceremony location) and Garrison (reception) are approximately 90 minutes north of New York City, both along the Hudson River. While there are plenty of hotels and Airbnb options in the area, we have reserved three blocks of hotels in the town of Peekskill, which is midway between the ceremony and reception, and is also accessible by train. We recommend you stay in a location that will maximize your enjoyment of the wedding events as well as your time in the area.
The dress code is garden formal. Simply put, this is formal wear with shoes and garment fabric/length well-suited for an outdoor event (e.g., flats or wedges are recommended instead of heels, wearing a 100% wool suit is probably not going to be comfortable etc).
Yes. There is ample parking outside Sacred Heart Church for the ceremony. The reception at Bird & Bottle Inn will have limited parking. We encourage guests staying at the hotels in Peekskill to utilize our shuttle provided to/from Bird & Bottle Inn.
We are happy to provide shuttle service to and from the hotels/train station in Peekskill and Bird & Bottle Inn for the reception. If you need assistance coordinating transportation to the ceremony, please don't hesitate to ask.
Please let us know in your RSVP, and we will do our best to accommodate.
If your invitation mentions & guest-- then yes! If it does not, then we would like for you to fly solo for this event. Thank you for understanding.
Please let this event be your night off from parenting duty. The only children present will be those with a role in the ceremony.
