What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is black tie optional. For men, dark-colored suits and ties are encouraged. For women, full-length gowns or mid-length formal dresses are perfectly appropriate. Is there a hotel block?

Answer

Yes, we have discounted rate options provided on the "Travel" tab for both the Omni William Penn and Kimpton Monaco hotels. We recommend guests secure lodging promptly while the block rates are still available as there are several other events in town that weekend. These hotels are across the street from one another and our shuttle service will run to and from the Omni William Penn.

How will transportation work?

Answer

Shuttles will be provided to take people from the Omni William Penn hotel to the ceremony, reception, and ultimately return to the hotel at the end of the night. Local guests are welcome to park their cars at the hotel and utilize this shuttle service. Shuttles will leave from the hotel to the church at 3:20pm. Alternatively, there is limited parking at the church and plenty of parking at Longue Vue if you'd like to stay with your vehicle. We encourage use of shuttles as Ubers may be harder to come by with a home Penguins game and CMU Carnival on Saturday.

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we can not accommodate all requests for children to attend. Your invitation and RSVP will indicate the number in your party who are accounted for on the guest list. Further, we want to ensure everyone can fully relax and enjoy the dance floor!
