A Car Appointment becomes an Adventure of a Lifetime.

Whoever said Love doesn't have a Manual, clearly hasn't heard our story.

In 2019, while Brian was working at a Mazda dealership and finishing school, life was moving fast. He had started as an accounting assistant and worked his way up to Assistant Service Manager, taking certifications, technical training, and mechanical education at Mazda. His goal was to join Mazda’s Marketing team until then he spent his days balancing classes, clients, and long hours at the dealership. During a school break, Juliette walked into the service department with a problem: her Mazda 3’s Bluetooth and radio system were refusing to cooperate. She had come in twice before, but Brian was buried in training and helping other customers. On her third visit, he finally had the chance to sit down with her. He thought she was beautiful instantly, but work came first. Since they were troubleshooting Bluetooth issues, they exchanged numbers to test messages and phone connections with the car. After checking everything, Brian explained that the issue was likely her newer phone being too advanced for the older 2013 infotainment system. The Bluetooth would still work, but certain features like shuffling songs might not always be available. Juliette later said she thought it sounded like “car salesman B.S.” In response, she reached into the glove box, tossed him the owner’s manual, and told him to read it. Brian was instantly hooked. She was not only beautiful she was bold, determined, and completely unafraid of any challenge. After a long day, Brian went home replaying the interaction in his head, hoping she’d text him. Since he couldn’t contact her for anything beyond work, he waited. A few days later, he received a message. Juliette asking if he wanted to grab coffee. He was ecstatic! Their first date was an all-day adventure. Juliette expected coffee; instead, Brian picked her up in his bright yellow Camaro with Wing doors and took her on a full tour of his hometown in Arlington, Virginia. They explored Shirlington, walked nature trails, had dinner at LongHorn, drove the George Washington Parkway, wandered Old Town, and ended the night with a movie. Hours passed talking about memories, dreams, goals, and everything in between. It felt like a conversation that could last forever. More dates followed, but summer ended quickly. Juliette returned to Indiana for school, and Brian stayed in Virginia. Long distance began, but so did the adventure. Brian made the long drive from Virginia to Indiana in his Camaro to visit her, surviving storms, traffic, and even a few wild road-trip stories along the way. Then COVID occurred. Brian’s marketing opportunity with Mazda was paused indefinitely, & life suddenly felt uncertain. Instead of standing still, they chose each other. Brian moved to Indiana so they could be together, and from there life became one adventure after another: road trips, backpacking trips, blizzards for late-night margaritas, hidden waterfalls, motorcycles, Mexico, cliff jumping, Vegas, sailing lessons, and eventually buying a sailboat together and bringing it to Massachusetts. Through every challenge, they proved the same thing: together, they could do anything! When Brian proposed, he wanted it to be unforgettable. In Japan, surrounded by glowing jellyfish, one of Juliette’s favorite creatures. He asked her to marry him with an alexandrite ring, chosen for its beautiful color-changing blues, greens, and purples. It was magical, personal, and perfectly them. Today, they continue building their life together: leading their community, growing their guild, chasing dreams, and preparing for even bigger adventures ahead. Their rings say it best: Adventure Awaits. They were married in a courthouse ceremony, celebrated in wedding attire over Korean BBQ and Hot Pot, did it their own way just like always. Now, they’re excited to celebrate again with the people they love most. They’ve been called adventurers, leaders, mentors, and dreamers, but their favorite title will always be the simplest one: Husband and Wife.
