Please make sure to check out which vaccines make sense for you on the CDC website (Hepatitis A, B, etc.). We recommend planning for these as early as possible and taking into account any additional travel you may take within the country when figuring out what you need. https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/destinations/traveler/none/brazil The current requirements for entering amidst COVID-19 are proof of vaccination, printed or in electronic form, in Portuguese, English or Spanish; OR proof of a negative or not detected antigen test or RT-PCR, taken one day prior to boarding. https://br.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/
All travelers from outside of Brazil will need a valid passport upon arrival. To safely ensure you can return to your country, also note any restrictions in your country around expiration dates. Travelers that hold a US passport do not need a visa to enter Brazil. Passport holders from Europe or India likely need a visa and should visit their nearest Brazil Embassy/Consulate to inquire.
We are currently figuring that out and will update here!
This is TOTALLY up to you! For Thursday night, we will already be in São Paulo and will be staying at the Grand Mercure SP Itaim Bibi. You are welcome to join us or stay elsewhere! We will likely be at a nearby bar at some point Thursday evening in this area after spending some family time. The bus will stop at this hotel Friday morning too. https://all.accor.com/hotel/B288/index.en.shtml?utm_campaign=seo+maps&utm_medium=seo+maps&utm_source=google+Maps If you are planning on venturing around Monday before your flight, there are a few options. We will be having Sunday evening and Monday morning busses that you can take. If you take the Sunday one, you could stay at a hotel in São Paulo so you have a place to keep your stuff. Otherwise, you may be venturing around the city with your luggage (which sounds like no fun).
