Richie and I met in February 2014. Our first date consisted of a couple rounds of bowling and some arcade games. After we went to a park and took a walk and got to know each other a little bit more. I know for me that I definitely had butterflies. He was tall, dark and handsome, and he had these mesmerizing dark brown eyes that I couldn't keep my eyes off of. A week or so later on the 19th of February, after a week of texting back and forth non stop we we went on our second date. We had ice cream. We sat closely at a table together eating and talking. Finally I had had enough of the cold and I had work the next day so I told him I had to go. We parked our cars within the same vicinity. So he walked me to my car and kissed me goodnight. That night was the night that he asked me be to be his girlfriend. I know what you’re thinking only two dates.. well yes only two. I never in my wildest dreams thought that I would find my person in two dates, but I felt something. A connection to him that I just couldn't deny. Since then we have spent a lot of our time with each other. We’ve gone to sporting events, found our yearly anniversary spot in Monterey. When the pandemic finally seemed to be settling down my family, myself and Richie went out to lunch at one of my favorite places to eat. We sat outside. It was a beautiful day in February. We all sat down and ordered a round of drinks. Richie stepped away from the table for a brief moment. When he came back he said that this month was very special to us. 7 years together is along time. At this point I am looking around the table and everyone is smiling and he goes on to say I don't want to make you wait anymore. Its then that I realize that this is it. This is the moment I have been waiting and dreaming for. I start crying and he finally got down on one knee and asked me to marry him and I said yes. We can’t wait to share our love with all of you on our special day!
