Our Story

You might find it hard to believe but Juliet actually hated Rashid for no good reason when they first met. Juliet and Rashid went to the same boarding school, and were introduced to each other via a mutual friend in 2009. Rashid was a rising senior in high school and Juliet was a rising freshmen and over one of the shared meal times, Juliet's roommate introduced them. Juliet actually didn't get along with her roommate and she secretly wanted nothing to do with that roommate; but being the nice person she was...went to meet this friend....Rashid. soley because Juliet didn't like the roommate, Rashid was guilty by association - thus - Rashid was hated too. The interaction was brief and the two didn't speak again until the next year. Juliet made friends with her vice corps commander, Dalila, WHO ALSO was actually really good friends with Rashid. The group of them with some other good friends spent a lot of time together. Juliet got to know Rashid better and see that he was really just a big teddy bear. The two dated for the year and when Rashid went off to college, they decided to end it. The two went their separate ways. Rashid had his beautiful daughter Aubrey while Juliet continued high school. The two crossed paths again a few years later in 2014 and reconnected, but still didn't start dating again. There were definitely some lingering feelings - just not the right time. Finally, in 2019 Juliet invited Rashid to Thanksgiving. He brought her flowers, and she thought they were for her mom. It took Juliet's sister Erica to yell in the kitchen, "Oh my gosh I wish a guy would come and bring me flowers on Thanksgiving!" , and it clicked to Juliet that Rashid was looking to get more serious. A few weeks later, December 7th, the two started dating - became engaged July 24th of 2021, and then married September 2021 by his father shortly after without a full ceremony with friends and family. Partly due to COVID and partly due to the two just didn't want to wait anymore to be together. The couple are now getting to celebrate their 5th year married, and it has gone by so fast. There has been nothing but joy, and now they are really excited to be able to share this moment with all their friends and family the way they originally wanted.
