The Welcome Event is Elevated Summer Casual. Light, airy, and comfortable is the goal for a New England summer evening! Casual dresses, linen sets, white jeans, and easy summer layers are all great choices. No need for jackets and ties for men. Whatever you feel most comfortable in for this casual welcome event on a summer evening!
Light hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be provided. We recommend having dinner beforehand.
Wedding day attire is Formal. Suits (tie encouraged), long, midi, or elevated cocktail dresses, and dressy jumpsuits are all appropriate. Tuxedos are not necessary. Most importantly, please wear whatever you feel your best and most comfortable in—we want everyone to feel great celebrating with us!
The ceremony will take place outside in the courtyard at Willowdale Estate (weather permitting). The cocktail hour will take place within the Willowdale Estate mansion. The reception will follow within the Sperry tent.
Transportation will not be provided to the Welcome Event. There is free parking available at the inn, and ride-share services such as Uber and Lyft are readily available in the area. We encourage guests to carpool or plan a ride if you’ll be enjoying drinks during the evening.
Yes! Transportation will be provided from the hotel block hotels to Willowdale Estate for the ceremony and reception, with return shuttles at the end of the evening. Guests will be able to indicate whether they plan to use the shuttle when RSVPing, and exact departure times will be shared closer to the event date.
Yes, parking is available at Willowdale Estate. However, parking is limited, so guests will be asked to indicate when RSVPing if they plan to drive to the venue. We encourage guests staying at or nearby the hotel block hotels to take the provided shuttle if possible.
We recommend arriving approximately 20 minutes before the ceremony start time so everyone can be seated before the ceremony begins at 5pm.
Due to space limitations, we are only able to accommodate guests listed on the invitation. If your invitation includes a plus one, it will appear when you RSVP. Similarly, due to limited space, only the children listed on your invitation are included in the celebration.
Formal invitations will be posted mid-April. We ask that you please RSVP by July 1 so we can finalize our plans with the venue and vendors.
