We met at Sunshine Cleaners in Whiteville, NC. Funny as it sounds, it had become a popular hangout spot and a lot of young people would sit in the parking lot and just make small talk. We continued hanging out with the same crowd and then in February of 2019 we officially began dating and the rest is history.

We really enjoy going out to eat, getting a drink at a bar or brewery and just relaxing and being together. We welcomed our sweet baby boy Wiley into the world on December 6th, 2021, so by the end of January we were ready for a date night. Austin wouldn't tell me where we were going to eat and told me (multiple times) to be patient and just wait. We ended up in the parking lot of Wild Wing Cafe at North Myrtle Beach, SC. I can't say I was thrilled but it was sweet that he had planned it so I went along with it. We walked in and Austin asked for a specific booth and then it dawned on me. He was recreating our very first date. The very first time we went out to eat, just the two of us, we went to Wild Wing and sat in the corner booth. I was so impressed and thought it was so sweet. After dinner we walked around Barefoot and ended up at the Crooked Hammock Brewery. We ordered a drink and walked on the patio and it was just the two of us outside. Austin took my drink and sat it down. My heart raced as he knelt down onto one knee and proposed! I of course said "YES" and we were engaged.
