Tea Ceremony

The Vietnamese tea ceremony is a meaningful tradition that honors family and heritage as part of the wedding. Close family and friends will be invited to the tea ceremony the morning of June 6th, 2025. It includes formal introductions of the families, the presentation of gifts, and blessings for the couple.
The groom’s family brings gifts in red-lacquered trays, such as tea, wine, fruits, and sweets. These are carried in a procession to the bride’s home, often by relatives dressed in traditional áo dài, with the trays covered in red fabric for good fortune. The bride’s family accepts the gifts, which are displayed and used in the ceremony.
The couple serves tea to their parents, grandparents, and elders as a gesture of respect and gratitude. The tea ceremony highlights love, family, and tradition—an intimate and symbolic start to the wedding celebrations.
