It's happening!

We met about seven years ago through a circle of friends, when we were at very different places in our lives. Through the years, we'd see each other at social events and traveled on a few group vacations. We always had that friendly "Midwest" connection. At a time when things changed for both of us, our friendship strengthened and we eventually jumped in with both feet. It's funny how life has a way of bringing people together. Timing is everything!

Tony and his daughter, Ava, were the only ones who knew what was about to go down. We were up in Door County, WI on vacation. We had a plan to go to the location where, a year prior, we saw a shooting star immediately after professing our love to each other. So on this particular evening, we walked down to the boat landing and sat on a rock to look at the stars. It was pitch black, except for the sky, so when Tony got down on one knee, Julie, not realizing what was happening, grabbed him because she thought he was falling. He proceeded to ask her to be his wife, presented the ring in the dark and when he blindly put it on her finger, it was a perfect fit. They couldn't wait to get back to the campfire to tell their families!
