Our Invisible String...Our Invisible String...

You all know how our story begins, but it's the part shortly after that is our favorite to tell. After meeting on Bumble and weeks of endless talking and laughter, Tim and Julie spontaneously decided it was time to finally meet. On a quiet and balmy late Spring afternoon, they found themselves at the corner of Egremont Street eagerly walking toward one another and exchanging shy "hellos". They walked to a park in Brookline where they promptly got to talking for hours. Amongst the pleasantries, Tim and Julie realized that their budding story was one sincerely strung together by the cosmos. Coincidentally, he had just moved right up the road from her, they had both downloaded an app on the same exact day, they had mutual friends, and even had been to the same concerts in the past without even knowing they were both standing in the same room. It was as though some gravitational force — desperate for harmony — had spent all this time pushing them toward one another. As the sun set, they sat there in each other's company sharing the universe's relief; their fingers followed that invisible string and here they finally sat with joined hands. Toward the end of their date, it occurred to them that they both had worn graphic t-shirts. Naturally, Julie's said, "Take A Hike!" -- but Tim's? Tim's said, "Til Death Do Us Part". As an English teacher, Julie understandably enjoyed this little bit of foreshadowing -- because she knew from where she stood that she had no plans to ever leave his side from that day forward. As for Tim? Tim was ready to take every hike. Tim would follow her: up mountaintops, to secret gardens, to ocean towns, through city streets, across rural deserts -- anywhere -- if it meant he could hold her hand.
