As much as we wanted our friends and family to share in this special day, we decided that we wanted to start our new life together on the right path, with no debt from a wedding that would essentially cost thousands of dollars. Instead, we want to make this day something special for just the two of us and as budget friendly as possible and use the money we would've spent on a wedding and reception to buy a home.
