Where do I park for the ceremony?

Answer

On the schedule page, there is a map of Powell Gardens. Parking is located by the chapel study adjacent to the chapel. You will see a small parking lot and overflow parking is on the side of the street.

Where do I park for the reception?

Answer

Return back to the visitor center where the main parking lots are. The Grand Hall is right inside the visitor center.

Can I walk around Powell Gardens?

Answer

Yes we encourage you to take in the beauty of Powell Gardens! Bring comfortable shoes as necessary.

Do I need to pay for entry into Powell Gardens?

Answer

No, mention that you are here for the wedding between Shea and Julie. The visitor center is a great resource for additional questions you may have.

I’m coming from out of town-where should I stay?

Answer

There is a block of rooms reserved at the Unity Village Hotel as mentioned on the travel page. Driving distance is about 16 miles or ~20 minutes. We chose this hotel for ease of transportation. If you want to visit the greater Kansas City area we recommend you also consider a hotel or AirBnB closer to Overland Park.
