A bit of a drive if you are staying in South Kingstown/ Narragansett, but Jamestown is worth it. Venture to the very tip of the island until you get to Beavertail State Park and the Beavertail Lighthouse. Bring a chair, blanket, or some hiking shoes. Pack a jacket, it is windy! Best part? On Monday, October 12th the tower is open for climbing from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM. This only happens a few times a year — highly recommend!

A scenic hike, a little rocky, with incredible views. Find remnants of a 100-year-old carriage house with stone walls. Great photo-op!
There's no place like Newport. I may be biased...but the Newport Mansions are worth the drive over the two bridges. Not sure what mansion to tour? Here are my suggestions: - The Elms with lunch in the Carriage House - Marble House with Afternoon Tea in the Chinese Tea House - The Breakers and a quick walk on Cliff Walk Free parking is available at all Newport Mansion properties.
