As of May 28, 2021 Cape Resorts (Congress Hall, Beach Shack, Star Inn and the Virginia Hotel) will not require fully vaccinated people to wear masks indoors at any of their hotels. Wahoo!! Also, just a reminder that the ceremony, cocktail and reception will be held outside on Congress Hall’s grand lawn and veranda. We would recommend not wearing shoe with a stiletto heel since we will be in the grass. Also, it tends to get a little chilly at night especially with the ocean right across the street, so bringing a sweater or jacket is a good idea! We can’t wait!!!
We have made the decision to postpone our wedding hopefully just one more time! The new date will be Sunday, June 6, 2021. If you have made accommodation reservations through Cape Resorts (Congress Hall, Beach Shack or Star Inn), you can send an email to reservations@caperesorts.com or call (855) 290-8467 to reschedule your reservation. Cape Resorts has re-opened their business operations but their might still be a delay in their response. There is still only a one-night minimum for our wedding so Cape Resorts should allow you to book for Sunday night only, if you wish. When booking, mention the discount code: LINCICOME to get our wedding block rate. We will continue to update this website with any new details as they may emerge. In the meantime, stay safe and be well. We can't wait to celebrate with you all soon!
We met at an Erin Express party that my sister, Laura, was hosting at her house in Philly. At the time, Laura was dating (and is now married to) one of Rob's best friends from college, Adam, which is how we both ended up there. I remember like it was yesterday...Rob's notorious sarcasm and humor were on full display that day. He kept making fun of me for drinking water that had blueberries in it. And I kept telling him that hydration while day drinking is KEY! :) We ended up parting ways later in the day because he had a wedding to go to but that Monday I ended up *innocently* sending him a friend request on Facebook and that same day I received the Facebook message that started it all! His message read: "I just confirmed your friendship and you're somehow already dominating my newsfeed." Little did he know that very soon I was about to dominate his whole world ;) ... and the rest, as you know, is history <3
Flash forward 5+ years bringing us to July of 2018. We planned a trip to Rob's family's vacation house in New Hampshire with friends. My sister was almost 8 months pregnant so she and Adam decided it was best to stay home, so it was myself, Rob and 4 of our friends. I truly did not think that a proposal would be coming on this trip because: first, neither of our families would be there (if my sister was going, I thought it could be a possibility); and second, my sister had just gotten married in June and she was due with her first baby at the end of August so... there was A LOT going on in my family at the time! I was even looking at pictures of rings on the way up to NH and showing Rob haha! The next morning we left for kayaking at Indian Pond. Rob and I have been to Indian Pond many times and each time we always kayak out to a big rock in the middle of the pond and stop to have drinks and swim. Thanks to my competitive instincts, I got to the rock first and tied up my kayak. Rob was still in his kayak behind me when I hopped on the rock and put my water bottle down. To my complete surprise, when I turned around I saw Rob down on one knee with a ring box in his hand (pretty brave of him to bring the ring out to the middle of the pond!) Tears flowed as well as champagne and hugs! It was by far the best day of my life!! (The day we got Finley is a CLOSE second!)
