Costa Rica's vaccination rate continues to increase (76% as of December) and mask compliance is higher than the US. As such, cases are lower than most of the places we all live in (7-day average of <100 cases/day). https://covidvax.live/location/cri In order to ensure the safest possible environment for all our guests, we are asking or providing the following: --All events will be outdoors --We ask that all guests be fully vaccinated prior to attending --COVID testing for returning to the US via eMed kits or Airport Testing at Liberia (no more than 1 day prior to departure) --"Beer and a Test" option no longer provided due to lack of need/interest. ---Questions about testing? Connect with Ed Eyden at eeyden@gmail.com. He's organizing a group for eMed kits.
The average high-temperature is 89°F, and the average low-temperature is 73°F. It's the dry season with little-to-no rain in January. Beach breezes abound.
US Dollars are widely accepted all over Costa Rica. Recommend traveling with some cash, but Credit Cards are also taken most places.
Keep the schedule close at hand. We will have printed copies for everyone with all the details. WhatsApp - Recommend you download WhatsApp. We will create a wedding group where all guests can be included. You may choose to get international service for the time you're there ($10/day on Verizon) or make use of WiFi. (Or live the Pura Vida way and no phones needed!)
Whatever you want! But if you're looking for guidance, here's what we're thinking will be popular- Dress leans casual - think dinner at a beach resort. The weather will be warm and breezy. Ray and Julie will be barefoot for the beach ceremony and you are welcome to as well! Ladies: Beach or sun dresses. Comfortable clothes. Wedges or flats are great for the reception area. No stiletto heels (uneven terrain). Gents: "Anything as long as you don't out-handsome the groom"- Ray. Collars or no, even try out your nicest shorts. Suits discouraged.
There is none! We're happy that you can make the journey to celebrate with us.
