This story began in 1999, in a small town called La Canada - Flintridge. There was a movie theater, popcorn, and no romantic interest or inclination whatsoever between Paul and Julie. Paul was a supervisor along with Warren Curtis, his now brother-in-law. Paul intent on surfing never did notice the 5'ft Julie- and Julie never dreamed he would pay her any attention, she was too busy trying to pass college algebra anyhow. Shortly thereafter Beth, Paul's younger sibling, began her days at this movie theater and eventually after some time she and Julie would become friends. Before too long they became best friends. Beth is a source of joy to the Durazo family, and a sister to Julie. Julie became a staple at Orr/Curtis family events and gatherings. (She has a way about her) One day Julie was flying to Colorado, and caught a glimpse of Paul at LAX, he was returning from his globe-trotting. They shared a drink, and talked about "The Old man and the sea". Julie was scheduled for a trip to Cuba, and Paul loves to recommend a good book- too bad that wasn't a good book- They could always share a laugh, good conversation, and they love to travel. In the summer of 2021, Paul finally made his move, he told Julie he had had his eye on her for a little while, and Julie didn't balk. Some may call this wedding quick, but it's been coming for a long, long time.
