Patrick and Julie's love story is one of modern romance. They matched on Hinge in June 2018 and soon realized they were both living in Southie. Patrick asked Julie on a date and after Julie cancelled on him a few times, they finally made a plan to meet. What better place to pick then a Southie hot spot, Loco? Patrick arrived and Julie was no where to be found because she was still in bed watching murder mysteries. Once she arrived, I guess you could say the rest is history!!

Anyone who knows Patrick knows he loves football. When Patrick and Julie first met Patrick told Julie football Sundays were off limits for activities (even her birthday). So when Patrick asked Julie to go down to his hometown of Simsbury, CT the night before a 9am London football game, Julie was suspicious. Julie's suspicions were further heightened when Patrick asked Julie to go on a hike in the morning, We all know Patrick does not hike. After a steep start to the hike, they nearly had to turn around due to Patrick's lack of preparedness and lack of his asthma inhaler. But alas they persevered. Upon making it to the top of Talcott Mountain, Patrick suggested they go up to the top of the Heublein Tower and take in the views. When they arrived at the top, Julie quickly realized that there were far too many people up there for her liking if Patrick was to propose. After a brief discussion and Julie insisting they leave, Patrick agreed and they descended the back stairs. When Julie stopped to read Patrick a random plaque, Patrick got down on one knee behind her and patiently waited for her to turn around. After a few minutes, he finally had to pull her attention away and Patrick proposed. She said yes, and now we get to celebrate with all of you!
