FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding dress code is formal. For women, this can be floor length or cocktail dresses, and for men, a collared shirt and suit with a tie are appropriate. No jeans, please!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your kids, please use this evening as a date night! Invitations will be specific and include the names of the children who have been invited.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

To ensure we can accommodate all our beloved guests, only those explicitly named on your invitation are included. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, complimentary parking is available at both the Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church for the ceremony and the Roostertail for the reception. If needed, you can also leave your car overnight at either venue.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

Yes! Please see the travel page on our website for details of our hotel block. We have two options near the reception venue, and one option near the ceremony venue.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, please feel free to take as many photos as you like throughout our wedding celebration!

Question

Will the wedding be outside?

Answer

No, both the ceremony and reception will be indoors in air conditioned spaces.

Question

Is there a shuttle?

Answer

Transportation between our ceremony and reception venues is convenient and flexible. While the venues are approximately 35 minutes apart, rideshare services like Uber are readily available throughout metro Detroit. You're welcome to leave your car at either venue if needed, and we've intentionally built ample time between the ceremony and cocktail hour to ensure smooth transportation arrangements.
