There is plenty of parking on site if you wish to drive. Additionally, we suggest scheduling an Uber or Lyft. We will also be organizing a round-trip shuttle from the Marion Square area. See Travel page for more details.
We request all RSVPs be made on our website through the RSVP tab.
While we want to host everyone's family, we are trying very hard to maximize the number of guests who will enjoy the night to its fullest! Unless the family's name is written on the invitation, we politely ask that you consider finding a babysitter for the evening. Sorry for the inconvenience and please know we don't mean any harm!
The airport is located of the first exit on the loop of 526's intersection with interstate 26 (which leads straight into the city). It is about a 15 minute drive to downtown and about 10 minutes longer to the surrounding areas off of the peninsula. Uber, Lyft, etc. may be your best bet unless you coordinate driving with someone.
The City of Charleston street meters require payment–coins or card–between 9AM-6PM (EXCEPT Sunday...which is free). Most hotels have available parking garages/lots accessible to guests and most things downtown are walking distance from the hotels we recommended on the Travel page of the website. One thing to know about Charleston is that the downtown roads are NARROW. The smaller the car, the easier time you will have navigating the historic roads.
Charleston in May is working towards its maximal summer humidity. Luckily the coast keeps some areas cooler during the day but still expect 80°-90°F weather during the day. Afternoon showers at this point are rare but could come and go as quickly as half an hour. You might consider bringing a pair of shoes if you're walking downtown midday that you are okay get a little wet/dirty. Evenings are temperate and likely dropping into the high 60°s or low 70°s and remain warm until almost midnight. If there's wind it may get a little cooler but is not expected to drop below the mid-50°s.
