Groomsman
My best friend from growing up, Jon shared his family with me and I practically lived at their house for a number of years. He's always been there for me and we have plenty of stories to share! He and I have remained friends into our adult years and he currently lives outside of Chicago with his girlfriend Allison. Jon’s kindness and friendship mean so much to me.
Groomsman
Scott is the man who married my sister. Originally from the Northeast, he and Lauren met when they were in school at Purdue. They currently live in Chicago but are soon making their exit to the suburbs! Scott has a gift for keeping positive during tough conversations and I’m grateful for the way he treats my sister.
Groomsman
Hunter is a friend of mine from graduate school who remains a big part of my life and faith walk. He's a father of three girls and still lives in Nashville with his wife, Tait. I have yet to meet someone with such admirable authenticity and as big a heart as Hunter.
Groomsman
Jon is another friend of mine from graduate school who has remained a big part of my life and faith community. He’s a gentle giant with an awesome story, and currently lives outside of DC with his wife and three daughters (for now). Jon has been such a good friend for the past several years, always accepting me wherever I’m at and challenging me in areas that make me a better man.
Groomsman
Scott is Julie's brother! A very kind, cool, and well-traveled dude, Scott lives in Seattle with his wife Maria. He has treated me with great kindness even before I was dating Julie, having helped me get plugged in to community the summer I lived in Seattle. I admire Scott’s thoughtfulness and the way he has made me feel welcome in the Wofford family.
Groomsman
Cameron is another friend from graduate school who is actively involved in my life and faith community. Cameron’s energy and enthusiasm are contagious, and he brings positivity wherever he goes. He currently lives in Huntington, WV but will be relocating soon for work. Cameron’s ability to keep his head up and keep moving forward, regardless of circumstances, is something I wish I had more of. His acceptance and encouragement have been really big for me over the years.
Bridesmaid
Kate is my older sister. As children, Kate and I enjoyed playing “make-believe”, “dress up, sardines, and wall ball. I looked up to Kate, she even taught me to tame our curly brown hair, drive at 13 years old, and how to navigate through relationships. Our relationship changed once we moved out of the house. She hosted me when she went off to college and now we continue to encourage each other from afar as geography has spanned between us. Currently, Kate and her new husband Nick Minton (married in July), are living in Philadelphia. Kate has recently earned her PhD in BioMedical Engineering and is continuing her research in laboratories at University of Pennsylvania.
Bridesmaid
Maria is my sister-in-law. Before Maria and Scott married they hosted me at college when I was still a high schooler. Maria has always treated me as an equal and with so much respect. I admire Maria for her strong voice, passion, confidence, and tenacity. Maria and Scott are currently living in Seattle. They travel frequently and pursue hobbies to ensure they keep learning. Excitingly, Maria and Scott are pregnant with their first baby due on December 1st. I believe Maria is going to be such a loving mom and I’m excited for this little one!
Bridesmaid
Lauren is my future sister-in-law. Lauren is Mike’s older sister. She is so cheerful, welcoming, and excitable. Lauren lives in Chicago with her husband, Scott. They love their dog, Thor, and enjoy trying new restaurants. Lauren is fiercely loyal and very considerate. I have seen her love Mike, and I am excited to continue developing our relationships through time!
Bridesmaid
Monica and I met in the TCU Nursing Program. When you meet Monica, you will instantly notice her contagious laugh, pursuit of further knowledge, adventurous spirit, and compassion. Monica and I were great friends in college but it has meant so much to me that we have strengthened our friendship once the geographical gap between us widened. We’re good about talking on the phone and taking trips together. Now she is living in Fort Worth, working as a nurse. She also is marring her love, Kesh, in August of 2019!
Bridesmaid
Kasey and I met as high schoolers. We were friends for the 4 years of high school and then re-kindled our friendship by happenstance 5 years later when we ran into each other on Belmont’s Campus. It’s been such a unique experience for me to be friends with someone for so long and for each of us to have changed so much! When Kasey and I get together we can’t stop talking….or laughing...or crying. The friendship is laden with encouragement. We are good at supporting each other in the various roller coasters that life brings.
Bridesmaid
Cristina and I met as adults in Nashville. We sat next to each other at church on Sunday morning and decided to begin a small girls discipleship group. We dove right past the surface and learned each others’ hearts. Cristina is generous, caring, and thoughtful. Most recently, Cristina has moved to Colorado to pursue her career as a Nurse Practitioner. In my opinion, our friendship is undeniably provided by God. The timing, honesty, encouragement, and love that is shared is truly a blessing.
