We Got Married!

After a crazy year, the time has FINALLY come! We can celebrate our wedding TOGETHER! On August 14th, our first anniversary, we get to marry each other all over again, surrounded by everyone we love (with all necessary safety protocols). Thank you all for your love, support and patience as we planned and replanned the celebration. It may not be when we wanted, but will be more than we could have ever asked for. See you then!

We first met while playing in a volleyball league together. We were randomly, yet luckily placed on the same team. Was it destiny? Julie was the newbie, and Josh was the super competitive teammate, but somehow they got along. We parted ways after the season, but Josh knew that he missed something special. A hop, skip and a few spikes (to the head) later and something just clicked. And now four years later, we finally played on volleyball team together again winning each other's hearts (and the championship!)

The first day of our Canadian vacation had us traveling in Vancouver. BC. In the morning, we decided to stray from the city and walked to Stanley Park to stroll along the scenic sea wall. The winding path way took us along the water's edge past totem poles, historic canons, and flowery gardens all the way to a lighthouse perched above us. We walked up the hill to admire the red and white lighthouse, where Josh knelt down to "tie his shoe" and unbeknownst to Julie pulled out a ring hiding in his back pocket. Josh popped the question, and Julie eagerly replied "yes, of course". The rest of our adventure became a continuous celebration of our engagement.
