They met by chance on a birthday party bus. One of the stops was a random bar in Tower Grove, where Julie hit on Jordan. After receiving encouragement from a mutual friend, Undray Kilpatrick Jr., Jordan reached out to Julie the next day. When asking the same mutual friend if she should contact him, he could not praise Jordan more. Jordan and Julie talked for two months but Julie felt they were not on the same page. (She was always a fast reader.) Once Jordan caught up, he contacted her and they rekindled their acquaintanceship on November 1st 2021. They were officially dating November 21st. The rest is history.

At a gathering of Julie’s high school friends, her Queen of Hearts, Jordan got down on one knee and proposed. Before saying yes, Julie had to call her future bridesmaid, Tierra Hudgins, to settle a bet that proved she guessed the engagement date correctly. After being prompted by her high school friends to give a straight answer, she said “Oh, yes!” According to them, the reply to “What are you doing for the rest of your life” was not efficiently answered with “Apparently you!”
