Fløyen
No trip to Bergen is complete without taking a ride up to Fløyen. Whether you take the funicular or choose to hike, the panoramic views of the city, the harbor, and the surrounding mountains are absolutely breathtaking. Once at the top, you’ll find scenic walking paths, picnic spots, and plenty of opportunities to take in the beauty of the fjords. Don’t forget your camera – this is a spot you’ll want to remember!
Bryggen
While you're in the city, be sure to visit Bryggen, a UNESCO World Heritage site. These colorful, historic wooden buildings line the waterfront and give you a real sense of Bergen’s past. Wander through the little shops, cafes, and galleries, or just enjoy the charming atmosphere of this picturesque area.
Torgallmenningen
If you want to shop like Julie does when she’s in Bergen, head over to Torgallmenningen. This lively square is full of everything from quirky local boutiques to bigger, well-known stores. It’s the perfect place for some guilt-free browsing and accidentally buying that extra pair of shoes. And if you’re feeling like really diving into a shopping adventure, Lagunen Kjøpesenter is the place to go. It’s a huge mall with something for everyone - just be sure to leave room in your suitcase for all the “I couldn’t resist” purchases!
China Palace
If you're in the mood for some amazing Chinese food, China Palace is a must-try! It’s where Jared and Julie had one of their favorite dates when Jared was visiting Norway. Delicious dishes, great flavors, and a cozy vibe – it’s the perfect spot for a relaxed meal after a day of sightseeing. Trust us, you won’t leave hungry!
