We’re getting married!

The first time Edmond and Julie met, the only words exchanged between the two were, "OBJECTION!" and "Overruled." Despite the commonalities in their career paths and love of politics, the first time the two came face to face was when Julie was in her first year of law school at the University of Akron, and Edmond was sitting on the bench as a volunteer judge for his firm's Law Lion Cup; an annual, intramural trial competition hosted by Tzangas, Plakas, Mannos, Ltd. at Akron Law. The day after exchanging legalese across a courtroom, Edmond sent Julie a Facebook message letting her know he was very impressed with her advocacy skills during the tournament. Julie was thoroughly impressed with Edmond, both as an attorney and an elected official, and thought striking up a friendship would be a great professional connection. Edmond's intentions weren't quite as career-oriented. On their first "date" they met at Basil in downtown Canton after Julie had a full day of class and Edmond had a full day of litigating. Over drinks and sushi, there was an obvious connection. They zeroed-in on an obscure ballot issue, and agreed they should stay in contact as they analyzed it further. On a second "date" at Gervasi's Crush House, Julie still thought she was merely fostering a friendly relationship with a future colleague. Edmond was more certain than before that he wanted to be more than friends with Julie. After a painfully awkward exchange when Edmond invited Julie into his home post-Gervasi and she ran off to run a family errand at 9 PM, Edmond decided to write her off, and Julie FINALLY realized what was going on. In the two weeks post-Gervasi, the two reconnected via text and Edmond made his intentions crystal clear by asking Julie on a date at Lucca in downtown Canton for the upcoming Saturday evening. Despite Allen Schulman's best efforts mid-date, sparks flew and two have been having drinks, discussing politics, and falling more and more in love ever since.
