Dylan and I never saw ‘us’ coming. He was a brand new teacher starting his first teaching job, in a new state; and I was going through a pretty rough time in my personal life, just trying to get through the chaos, that was my current situation. He was hired as the new PE teacher at the school (Maine Consolidated School, in Parks, AZ.), and I was already working there as the Office Manager. We had our first of many casual “hellos,” and “how are you,” encounters. He thought I was a nice office gal and I thought he was a nice nerdy-looking teacher (I mean that with the most respect and flattery). I sure wasn’t looking and I know he wasn’t either, but we found ourselves being drawn to each other and wanting to have conversations and crack jokes, or just asking how your day was going. We were getting to know each other, slowly but surely. Our connection and direction shifted more towards each other, with wanting to know more of one another. Not only was I falling for Dylan and he was falling for me, this whole time that we were connecting and getting closer, he had also accepted my two kiddos, Kent and Samantha. From day one he said he liked them and he immediately cared for them. His like for them, turned to love for them, and then, to wanting to be part of their lives and become their future stepdad. This amazing man not only loves me, but he loves my two children. How the heck did I find such a man?! How did I truly snag him?! Now, the love of my life has asked me to be his wife and I am so grateful that the good Lord blessed me with Dylan Hearn. When I thought all was over in my world of love, the Lord said, ah wait, for I have your perfect soulmate. This all came to be, when I wasn’t looking. We are ready 2019. ❤️
The Weatherford Hotel, in Flagstaff! Fun fact #367: That was the the first New Year’s Eve we spent together, three years ago. Standing out on the street in front of the grand Weatherford. Freezing our bums off, cramped like sardines with so many people and watching the Pine Cone drop down from the Weatherford Hotel, at midnight! I remember saying, this is the start of our lives together! Woooooooo time flies! PS. Picture below is New Years Eve 2015, in front of the Weatherford.
