We’re getting married!

When Cort and Julie met she asked him, “ your name sounds so familiar “. His response was something along the lines of “ yeah I get that a lot” ( thinking that him being on the News) was how Julie recognized him. In fact it was that Cort used to live in Julie’s home she purchased and he left a note asking if there was any mail to give him a call. Years went by after that point until the invisible string brought them together. They should have and probably did meet in college. Both were apart of the Greek system at the same time Julie being an Alpha Delta Pi, Cort being a Beta. Being at the same parties, having the same friends. He is a year older ( but Julie did graduate first;) both lived in Whitney hall their first year, just a floor away. Finally the invisible string brought them together in November of 2021. Right after meeting, Julie had to go to Texas and when she arrived home on 11/16/2021 there were yellow roses on her doorstep from Cort welcoming her home! Their first date was a drink at Strong Water and have been inseparable ever since!

Cort was acting funny on the morning of the engagement, it was a Friday and kept saying “ what a great day it was!” ( Julie is NOT a morning person). When Julie picked up Aubrey from school Aubrey presented her with a rose and a clue attached to it, she quickly knew what was happening and they turned on Taylor Swift for the adventure! They were sent on a scavenger hunt to at least 7-8 different places that were meaningful to the couple, all collecting roses and clues along the way. Last clue led them to 5th street steak house where Cort, Violet and Julie’s parents were! Cort asked Julie to spend her life with him on one knee and the whole restaurant erupted!
